The Northeast PA AHEC was again pleased to be able to assist in the planning and facilitating groups at the 2016 Northeast Central PA Interprofessional Education Summit. Over 700 health profession students and over 100 group facilitators (health care professionals) participated in the summit held on April 6. The case study for the 2016 summit, "Obesity and Health Care" was developed by Dana Manning, RD, Pharm D, Wilkes University and Judy Kristellar, Pharm D, Wilkes University. The interprofessional teams of students met to discuss roles and collaborative care at colleges and universities throughout the region. The lively discussion and energy once again indicated that the summit was a huge success!
